Men's Lacrosse

The 1870 Society is proud to sponsor Ohio State University Athletics and support the Men’s Lacrosse program in the first for-profit Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) collective supporting Ohio State athletes. The organization was founded by a group of passionate, and experienced operators who are committed to helping Ohio State student-athletes navigate this complex and evolving world of NIL.

As a leading force in collegiate lacrosse, Buckeye Lacrosse embodies a storied history and relentless pursuit of success. The program is more than just a team; it's a tight-knit community where athletes go to excel both athletically and academically, embodying the values of dedication, integrity, and sportsmanship that define the Buckeye spirit.

Under the leadership of Head Coach Nick Myers, the program has reached unprecedented heights. His passion for the game and dedication to player development has propelled Ohio State Lacrosse to national prominence. By investing in Buckeye Lacrosse, you’re not only supporting the growth of lacrosse, but a culture of service and a brotherhood that bleeds Scarlet and Gray.

1870 understands the evolving landscape of collegiate athletics, and with limited player scholarships, NIL is an opportunity to help Buckeye Lacrosse remain competitive and support student-athletes by reducing the cost of their education. The 1870 Society gives student-athletes the tools to maximize their brand potential, providing resources and guidance to navigate this space while maintaining the commitment of excellence both on and off the field.

Come join us in becoming an integral part of helping student-athletes create meaningful partnerships in the local and national community!

“NIL opportunities provided to me by The 1870 Society have given me access and insight into Buckeye Nation and made me feel right at home. Being able to express myself and tell my story all while receiving support from supporters of The 1870 Society has meant the world to me. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities that they have provided me and look forward to continuing to connect with the lacrosse community in Columbus throughout the rest of my career.”

Your support lifts Ohio State athletes above all the rest."

Community Service

The Ohio State men's lacrosse program is deeply committed to giving back to the Columbus community. Each year, the team challenges itself to serving 500 hours of community service, contributing to various programs such as the Urban Lacrosse Academy, After School All-Stars, The 2nd and 7 Foundation, the Dream Center, and the Mid-Ohio Food Bank.

Academics

They have been awarded the most Big Ten Distinguished Scholars of any Big Ten lacrosse program. And this past year, fielded 44 Scholar Athletes, and 30 Academic All-Big Ten honorees.

Lacrosse Stadium

In 2023, the Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium, a new $24 million lacrosse-only stadium opened for the Buckeye men's and women's programs. This new facility not only reflects the school's commitment to lacrosse, but also underscores the importance of NIL partnerships in sustaining an elite level of competition. As they strive to remain at the forefront of collegiate lacrosse, your involvement in NIL opportunities is crucial in ensuring the continued success of the program.
